Valve released a small update for Counter-Strike 2 that updates two Community Workshop maps and fixes several viewmodel animations and weapon firing performance. It updates Agency and Grail to their latest Workshop versions and addresses knife viewmodel motion, which may produce steadier visuals and a more consistent feel during firefights.
Map updates push two community-made maps into the live build. The team updated Agency and Grail to their Workshop versions so those layouts and tweaks match what creators intended. Minor but meaningful tweaks.
Viewmodel work focuses on knife animations. Valve fixed the viewmodel animation for the Bowie, Bayonet, Kukri, Outdoor, Paracord, and Skeleton knives, which should make quick peeks and weapon swings read more predictably while in combat across many maps. There are also misc changes aimed at smoothing weapon firing performance. A specific fix corrected the viewmodel motion that depended on the direction players were facing.
