EA DICE has just announced that Battlefield 5 will have a new release date which postpones the launch for a whole month. On the other side of the story, the Open Beta date remains the same as of September 4, which is still going to remain the same and allow players to enjoy Battlefield 5 for the first time.
The reason for this postpone is simply the core gameplay being unpolished, allowing players to give feedback during the open beta and EA DICE taking actions upon them. It will also help them strengthen the game mechanics, game modes and more.
Having a new launch date will make players wait for the official and final release, which is around a month later. EA Dice is believing that it’s the most complete Battlefield game ever, even though its setting takes place in the World War 2.
Whether or not will be historically precise, the battle royale experience in this kind of environment may look quite amazing, which again, it’s one of the most successful genres nowadays. Therefore, EA DICE’s plan is not to rush and ruin any plans on the way, making this postpone vital for their upcoming Battlefield 5.
This has been announced on EA’s official website.
