Arena Breakout Infinite locks in September 15 Steam launch after 2.1m wishlists

Morefun’s extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite has locked in a full release date – it matters because the free-to-play game now targets a broad launch on September 15, 2025, arriving after more than 2 million wishlists, which should help populate matches at launch.

Developer Morefun confirmed the launch and stated that the full release will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with publishing details provided via a Steam news post. The studio says the game will ship with five maps and a set of changes informed by early access feedback.

The early access build drew criticism for its pay-to-progress mechanics; Morefun says the final release removes the in-game currency option that accelerated recovery. High-tier items have been rebalanced, and some will only be obtainable through crafting rather than direct purchase.

Anti-cheat measures are being stepped up – the developer promises a zero-tolerance policy, restoration of lost gear, and a “comfort payout” for those affected by cheaters. There are also matchmaking improvements and several quality of life tweaks, including the ability to cancel lockpicking and to tie a keychain to specific maps.

Should Battlestate Games be worried? The studio behind Escape from Tarkov previously accused Morefun of plagiarism, an allegation Morefun rejected; only time will tell how the two titles coexist in the extraction-shooter space.
