Battlefield 6 just finished its open beta phase, and it turns out this was the biggest test in the series’ history. Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) hasn’t given exact player numbers, but estimates say more than 20 million people tried it out.

I have to admit, I expected the Support class to be the most popular since it lets you resupply ammo and heal teammates quickly. But it looks like the excitement of using launchers as Assault won out. Plus, the shotgun felt a bit too strong, which the developers have said will be toned down. Guess some things grab players more than others…
Players didn’t quite hit the $1 trillion destruction mark the devs mentioned, which was always a huge ask. Maybe they will find other ways to unlock those promised weapon skins. That would be nice, right?
