Marvel Rivals just got a little shake-up with the 20250821 update. Some heroes are getting a bit stronger while others have their powers toned down just enough to keep things balanced. It’s a quick patch, but those tiny changes might shift some fights around.
Blade’s lifesteal during his Bloodline Awakening has been bumped up from 60% to 65%, and the self-healing reduction he suffers is eased from 40% down to 35%. Looks like the Daywalker will last a bit longer in those chaotic brawls, nice for fans who like to stay in the thick of it.
On the flip side, Human Torch’s fiery attacks got cooled off a little. His Flame Field damage over time is reduced from 25 per second to 20, and his Pyro-Prison damage over time drops from 50 to 40 per second. So, ground-based heroes might find some relief from Johnny Storm’s flames; I guess that’s fair, right?
Loki, the God of Mischief, and his illusions are also feeling the nerf hammer. Their Mystical Missile damage to enemies has been cut from 30 to 25, though healing for teammates stays the same. Maybe those sneaky illusions won’t be quite as brutal now.
ADJUSTMENTS
DUELIST
Blade
- Increase Lifesteal gained during Bloodline Awakening from 60% to 65%.
- Reduce self-healing reduction from 40% to 35%.
Human Torch
- Reduce Flame Field (right-click on terrain) Damage Over Time from 25/s to 20/s.
- Reduce Pyro-Prison Damage Over Time from 50/s to 40/s.
STRATEGIST
Loki
- Reduce Mystical Missile damage dealt by Loki and his illusions to enemies from 30 to 25. (Healing for teammates remains unchanged.)
Wonder if these small shifts will make some players rethink their lineups? Maybe Blade will become a more popular pick now. Or will Johnny Storm’s nerfs finally give ground heroes a fighting chance? Yikes, balancing acts are always tricky.
