Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is preparing to release its latest story expansion, Legacy of the Forge, on September 9th, 2025. The expansion promises fresh content that dives deeper into Henry’s family history and offers new gameplay features like weapon crafting and house customization.
Warhorse Studios has been busy since the launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, already releasing the Brushes with Death expansion, which introduced art-themed quests and shield customization. While another expansion called Mysteria Ecclesiae is still in the pipeline, Legacy of the Forge was recently showcased with a new trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live, stirring up some excitement.
In the trailer, Henry takes up his late father’s forge to craft new weapons for the people of Kuttenberg. The expansion will let players create new weapons and armor, adding a new layer of depth to the RPG’s combat and customization systems. Plus, the story content explores Henry uncovering hidden truths about his father’s past, meeting allies who reveal sides of his dad Henry never knew about.
Another cool feature coming with Legacy of the Forge is house customization. Players can personalize many parts of their home, including the armory and bedroom, with over 100 million possible variations. That’s a lot of medieval creativity! The DLC will cost $13.99 across all platforms, but if you grabbed the Expansion Pass, it’ll be yours for free.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has already been praised as one of 2025’s standout RPGs, and this expansion will keep players hooked. The success of the original game set a high bar, and this sequel looks like it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
