Dune: Awakening just got a fresh hotfix, version 1.1.25.0, that brings some handy tweaks and bug fixes. Players will notice changes to resource volumes and smoother gameplay thanks to stability improvements. Plus, a handful of annoying bugs have been squashed.
Volume for Cobalt Paste has been cut in half, dropping from 1.0 to 0.5. Maybe they felt it was too abundant or unbalanced. Also, the server browser no longer shows the server language visually, which might tidy up the interface a bit.
Stability has been worked on for both servers and clients, which is always welcome when dealing with online survival games. Nobody likes unexpected crashes or freezes.
On the bug front, some scene gaps in the Deep Desert Shield Wall were patched. A pretty frustrating issue where starter abilities reset to level 1, causing skill points loss—has been fixed, so no more losing progress randomly.
Ever had the screen go black or get stuck in a weird “free look” camera mode when travel got denied by the server? Yeah, that’s fixed now, too. Ground vehicles can finally be suspended by patrol ships, which might open up some interesting tactical moves.
There was also a bug where deployables’ detonations got stuck on cooldown after entering vehicles. That’s sorted. Plus, players who spawned under the terrain in Hagga Basin will now appear where they’re supposed to. Falling endlessly through the map is a thing of the past; the game will place you on solid ground if you somehow slip through the mesh.
Overall, this hotfix feels like a nice cleanup to keep the experience smoother and less frustrating. Anyone playing Dune: Awakening should update and see how these changes affect their game.
