Smite 2 just got a quick OB16 August hotfix that cleans up some annoying bugs and tweaks Janus’ abilities a bit. Players noticed some weird stuff, like Janus portals showing on enemy minimaps and odd timer bars on Travelers, which are now fixed. Plus, Assault mode is back, which is always a good thing.
Janus got some love with changes to his ability scaling and ultimate. His first ability’s intelligence scaling went up from 60% to 70%, and the second ability got a boost from 85% to 95%, with the second hit’s scaling increasing from 17% to 20%. The third ability’s scaling numbers shifted around, and the magical protection ignore dropped from 25% to 15%. The ultimate now applies a “Phased” effect on hit, and its magical protection applies directly to damage dealt. These tweaks might make Janus feel a bit different to play, maybe a bit more nuanced.
Bug fixes included getting rid of those pesky lingering Sun Wukong clone health bars, fixing frowny face aspects, and sorting out the weird timer bars on Travelers. The Janus portals showing up on enemy minimaps were a pretty big oversight, so it’s good to see that sorted out.
Here’s the full list of changes:
