E3 2018 is over, and it’s time to review some of the players’ most favorite video games. Presumably, while making this list, we believed that they would be the most anticipated games. You can correct us if we’re wrong. We have taken our liberty to conclude the finale with our favorite Top 10 E3 2018 video game announcements. Coming to all the platforms or not, it doesn’t matter. What’s most important is that we had a prosperous E3 2018 which hasn’t faded into the shadows of shame.
While most of the people believed that the Battle Royale Genre would dominate this year’s E3, it turned out that post-apocalyptic video games still got a massive impact on gamers. There have been multiple post-apocalyptic zombie video games, and we’re not here to neglect any of its success. Instead, we are going to kick off with Resident Evil 2.
Resident Evil 2
The remake of Resident Evil 2 is expected to be a refreshing title, with lots of overhauls being done. Thanks to its new RE engine in which the trailer footage is taken, and it looks breathtakingly amazing, or so… Everyone wants to explore Capcom’s new and improved RE2 story. A city that is overflooded by zombies is left to Leon and Clair to cleanse the savage. From what the developer noted, they will share the same goal but different story, as usual.
The game is scheduled to release on January 25th, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’d love to take a look at Resident Evil 2 and more accurate info, make sure you visit our previous article. Below you can find the trailer for Resident Evil 2.
The Division 2
After multiple failures in their first series, Massive and Ubisoft has found a way to recover from all the mistakes since the game first launched. After numerous updates, the developers managed to bring the game to a whole new level, implying a complete and final product. All of that must have come as a lesson to them. Therefore, The Division 2 had a huge entrance on this year’s E3 stage. They have come out with fascinating discoveries, such as the new setting of the story, new features, etc. This time, Washington D.C. will be our city of choice and action.
However, the most exciting part is that The Division 2 will finally offer something that players have been asking for. Raids. They are coming to The Division 2 and will allow teaming up to 8 players at a time. At least, the game can now finally cope with Destiny. One thing remains extra superb. In year one of its launches, there are going to be three additional episodes coming for free. Each episode marks an update and will be entirely available for everyone without any DLC or Season Pass.
Hats down Massive, you nailed it with this one. Just as a reminder, the closed beta registration is now available, so you may want to register and try the game among the first ones. The Division 2 will release on March 15, 2019, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Battlefield 5
Namely another FPS WW2 shooter. Well, to be frank not precisely. It was mentioned in multiple occasions that Battlefield 5 might get a new game mode, and that is the Battle Royale. They have guessed it right. Battle Royale is coming to Battlefield 5 as a huge surprise. The most exciting part in this game is that it will avoid any Pay 2 Win structure. The game will be completely microtransaction free and will exclude loot boxes, with no DLCs. It will only include a fair amount of cosmetics and vanity items that will be available to buy for real money.
As the developers noted, they won’t be locked in a loot box. No percentage, no chances, Instead, it will be a raw and transparent system, so that players could know what item are they purchasing and how does it look on their character. It is fantastic since EA as the publisher has settled down this issue by listening to its community. There was a whole lot of frustrations before that we wouldn’t love to speak about. Therefore, let’s just sit back and relax and wait for the title to come out before any further judgments.
Anthem
The scientific shooter itself. Well, BioWare has wholly overrun us all by classifying their current game as a shooter. It’s far more than that. For instance, it is supposed to be an RPG game as well, including the sci-fi and futuristic opportunity to battle, shape and gear your character the way you want, solo or co-op by teaming with friends. That makes it somewhat of an MMO as well. However, we had a massive blast when Anthem’s new trailer came out.
Anthem will enable free roaming across its dynamic open-world action shooter. Anthem will also try to lead the players within a small but crucial narrative throughout the game. Players’ job will be to guard the remains on the planet since the leftovers are all they have now after the gods have abandoned the planet. Having EA as publisher of this title, it is known that will be microtransaction free and will include only cosmetics and vanity items as well, something similar to Battlefield 5.
Anthem will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on February 22, 2019. If you’re taking notes, 2019 will be the year of receiving next-gen titles for sure. It’s somewhat unbelievable but true, and we’re ready to anticipate each one of them.
Cyberpunk 2077
The game that not much has been told nor spoken about. It brought a whole new trailer, nothing similar to its previous ones. However, being developed by CD Projekt RED, the developer of the breath-taking Witcher series, we expect this futuristic title to be a shocking surprise to everyone. Some people believe that Cyberpunk 2077‘s press conference has mastered all of the rest press conferences. We do not think the same, since no more in-depth explanation was given, except the promising trailer that we can fantasize upon.
Coming from the same Witcher 3 developer, we know that its size will be multiplied than what we had in Witcher 3. Increased by a couple of times. It will be a whole lot bigger and will include new elements to learn about, as its sci-fi perspective of role playing game is something pleasant to boil up in our brains. As a dedicated gamer myself, we do believe that CD Projekt Red will nail it once again. It’s just the matter of time when the official release will occur. By having no exact release date, we can only assume that the game will come out somewhere in late 2019.
But, let’s quote the developer once again “Cyberpunk 2077 will release when it’s ready”, which means the developer has no intentions of rushing things through.
The Elder Scrolls VI
Bethesda’s press conference was terrible before Todd Howard appeared. He brought an insane amount of games coming from Bethesda’s office, and one of them was quite sounding. The Elder Scrolls VI is in the works. While everyone believed everything would stop with a few sentences about the game, Bethesda did manage to excel the piece of the announcement by teasing a bit of graphics within a video material.
The Elder Scrolls VI is still far away from done, but Bethesda’s MMO has undoubtedly raised some concerns and questions regarding the same. We’re glad that Bethesda is moving in the right direction, and also ready to intercept their MMO as soon as it comes out. Sadly, no one’s sure if it’s going to launch on this generation of hardware, as it is more likely to begin it’s journey a bit later. In fact, assumptions are somewhere around 2020-21. Well, we can only assume, and we hope it’s sooner than later.
Doom Eternal
2016’s Doom had a huge success and the time has come for Bethesda to announce a sequel to it. The new sequel is called Doom Eternal and will hold a similar story to Doom 2. The legion of Hellspawns are infiltrating earth, and you as a player have the job to stop further developing and overtaking of your home.
If you remember firmly, during their press conference, Bethesda noted that Doomslayer will receive extra powers and will become twice as powerful than before. That surely complies with another statement that “there will be twice as many enemies” to slaughter. Therefore, all the extra powers Doomslayer will get are pretty much welcome when it comes to Doom Eternal. More info about Doom Eternal, including a possible release date, will be revealed at this year’s QuakeCon in August.
Devil May Cry 5
It’s time for those mind-blowing game reveals, as one of them is Devil May Cry 5. Devil May Cry 5 will be a sequel to the old Devil May Cry 4 that came out ten years ago. Despite its two main characters, it will bring one more that will allow players to dwell in with. Capcom’s new DMC 5 will inevitably include a variety of new moves, which could be well combined in combos so players could perceive that new level and ultimate gameplay experience.
It has been a whole decade for the fans of the game, as they’ve been eagerly waiting for this kind of excitement to pop up at E3 2018. Hideaki Itsuno has fulfilled his duty as so far as everything looks good in the eyes of the fans. However, we’ll anticipate more news when the game comes close to a release, or receive an official release date.
Devil May Cry 5 will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One somewhere around in 2019.
Forza Horizon 4
It is time for the sports genre. Namely, the previous series of this racing game has achieved amazing heights on the Xbox One console. Every Xbox One user loves Forza Horizon and the racing activity it offers. Before two days, it was announced that Forza Horizon 3 had achieved a new milestone by gathering 3 million players on Xbox One and PC in total. Well, they all have something in common, and that is the anticipation of the new Forza Horizon 4 announced at E3 2018. We already guessed this appearance at E3 in a previous article of ours.
Playground Games also stated that the game will be set in Britain and will include a wide variety of cars. The game will keep its cross-play feature up and allow Xbox One users to emerge PC users at the same time. Forza Horizon 4 is supposed to be played online, but it also supports offline gameplay. Those who want to play offline shall not encounter human players, but instead, they will be replaced with AI. Moreover, it keeps the same core features as in Forza Horizon 3, with some fundamental overhauls included.
Forza Horizon 4 comes out on October 2 for Xbox One and PC and is about to be quite a refreshment in the racing world of gaming.

Fallout 76
Last but not least, Fallout 76. Since Todd Howard joined Bethesda, he has led this product to a whole new level of development. Fallout 76 is designed to be played online. As Todd said, there will be fully managed dedicated servers assigned just for the game. In that multiplayer open-world experience, players will no longer encounter AI around the world. Instead, a lot of the encounters will be human players, which spices up the game a bit more.
For those who find the online mode despairing, there’s nothing to worry about as the story will most likely be playable in offline mode as well. Fallout 76 among other announcements is the first one to come out this year, or more precisely on November 14, 2018. It is the only chance to rise and endure America’s futuristic PVP oriented game mode in which rebuilding America will be the only thing that matters.
Fallout 76 will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Overall, if we agree, we had the most successful E3 of all times. Substantial upcoming game releases and significant upsets were encountered and well witnessed. Hence, it’s a reason why E3 is the most significant gaming news expo event in the whole world.
