Hunt Showdown 1896 just got a minor update today from Crytek, hitting all platforms. It’s nothing huge, but these little fixes can make a difference in a game where every bullet counts.
So what’s fixed? Well, there was a pesky exploit where players could swap Compact Ammo for Buckshot, letting them shoot Buckshot at long range while keeping their Compact Ammo count intact. Yikes, that’s a nasty one for anyone trying to keep the game fair. Also, charms from the Judgement of the Fool event were showing up fine in the Shooting Range but mysteriously vanished during regular Bounty Hunt missions. That’s been corrected now.
Why does this matter? Because even minor glitches can mess with the flow of Hunt Showdown’s tense, tactical gameplay. Fixing ammo exploits helps keep the playing field level, and seeing your event charms in-game is just lovely for the collectors among us. But honestly, why did the charms only show up in the Shooting Range and not during actual missions? Weird choice.
Hunt Showdown 1896 Update August 4 Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue where all Charms from the Judgement of the Fool Event were correctly displayed in the Shooting Range but did not appear during normal Bounty Hunt Missions
- Fixed an exploit where Compact Ammo could be replaced with Buckshot, allowing players to shoot Buckshot at long range while retaining the Compact Ammo count
If Crytek reveals more about this patch, we’ll update you right here. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the official Hunt Showdown 1896 Twitter for the next update news.
