Ready or Not has smashed expectations by selling over 2 million copies on consoles in just two weeks. This tactical shooter, developed by VOID Interactive, made its console debut on July 15th and quickly caught the attention of players craving a gritty SWAT experience.
Julio Rodriguez, the CEO of VOID Interactive, shared the milestone on LinkedIn, thanking players for their dedication and the dev team for crafting what he calls “the quintessential tactical FPS of our era.” It’s kinda wild how fast this game took off, especially considering it hit 1 million copies sold within just four days of launch.
For those who haven’t tried it yet, Ready or Not puts you in the boots of SWAT operators in the fictional city of Los Sueños. You’ll tackle crimes ranging from robberies to mass shootings and drug busts, either solo or with friends in multiplayer. The game’s intense and realistic approach to tactical combat is probably what’s driving these impressive sales numbers.
The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, so there are plenty of ways to jump in. I wonder if the momentum will keep up or if the player base will stabilize soon. What do you think? Have you been jumping into those high-stakes missions or just watching from the sidelines?
