GamerLegion and Astralis were both eliminated from Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025, as they failed to advance beyond the Group Stage. The action will continue with several key matches scheduled for Monday, July 28th, following a weekend packed with intense competition.
After a strong showing in the Play-Ins, where GamerLegion defeated both Complexity and Virtus.pro, the team found itself in a tough spot in Group A. A loss to Team Falcons dropped them into the lower bracket.
Sharing the lower bracket with GamerLegion was 3DMAX, which had lost its opening Group A match to The MongolZ. GamerLegion won on the first map on Overpass, but 3DMAX fought back on Inferno, pushing the series to a deciding Dust II. After a triple overtime, 3DMAX came out on top, keeping their hopes alive for the Lanxess Arena.
Here are the matches scheduled for July 28th, 2025:
- Team Falcons vs FURIA
- G2 Esports vs 3DMAX
- Team Liquid vs FaZe Clan
- Ninjas in Pyjamas vs HEROIC
- MOUZ vs NAVI
- Aurora Gaming vs Team Spirit
