New Mounts Arriving at World of Warcraft’s Trading Post with Patch 11.2

World of Warcraft players can look forward to some interesting new mounts arriving at the Trading Post with Patch 11.2: Ghosts of K’aresh. August 5, 2025 and update 11.2 will introduce a variety of mounts, including some holiday-themed ones that will appear closer to their respective seasons.

When Will the New Mounts Be Available?

Although Patch 11.2 launches in early August, the mounts themselves are expected to start appearing in the Trading Post in September 2025. Holiday-themed mounts, like those tied to Hallow’s End, should arrive nearer to those festivities, for instance, the Headless Horseman mounts will likely be available around October 25, coinciding with the event’s start.

Headless Horseman Mounts

Four distinct Headless Horseman mounts have been datamined and will become available this fall. Each will cost 700 Trader’s Tender. Here’s a quick look at these spooky steeds:

  • The Headless Horseman’s Chilling Charger
Through the air you will fly, on your foes you descend, this charger will carry you to deliver their end.
  • The Headless Horseman’s Ghoulish Charger
Tricks have been played, your enemies beaten, this ghoulish charger awaits a treat, friend.
  • The Headless Horseman’s Burning Charger
The fires blaze on, in the steed’s heart and soul, now take to the sky as a sight to behold.
  • The Headless Horseman’s Hallowed Charger
Your future’s unknown with ghosts in your past, with your steed at your side how long can you last?

Wildhammer Gryphons

Next up are the Wildhammer Gryphons, priced at 650 Trader’s Tender. These mounts carry a rich lore background and feature beautiful designs inspired by the Wildhammer clan:

  • Adorned Northeron Gryphon
The elder gryphon riders and high shamans of the Northeron Wildhammer often adorned their gryphons in ornate, feather-clad pieces, indicating their rank and status.
  • Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon
According to Wildhammer legend, the orange plumage found on gryphons is believed to be a hereditary trait passed down from their elemental ancestry.
  • Emberwing Sky Guide
“From the foothills of Khaz Modan, we followed its ember-lit wings–a northbound torch across the dark summer sky.” – The Pilgrimage of the First Wildsage
  • High Shaman’s Aerie Gryphon
The ancient Wildhammer shamans who first encountered gryphons believed them to be elemental spirits in mortal form. This encounter would forever imprint on the Wildhammer clan for generations to come.

Talbuk Mount

Finally, a new Talbuk mount called Ornery Breezestrider will be available for 325 Trader’s Tender. This mount has a bit of a stubborn personality, so riders should be prepared for a lively companion.

This talbuk is a stubborn, obstinate mount even after getting to know its rider. Riders beware.

These mounts add a lot of character and variety to the Trading Post offerings, giving players fresh goals to pursue and new ways to celebrate seasonal events. I’m already looking forward to flying around on one of those fiery chargers come fall!

What do you think of these upcoming mounts? Will you be saving up your Trader’s Tender to grab them as soon as they arrive? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments below!
