Icarus just dropped its Week 190 update, tackling a bunch of bugs and gameplay tweaks following the Great Hunts expansion. Players had a lot to say about the expansion, and the devs listened, patching up issues and adding some neat stuff like incendiary sniper ammo. Oh, and heads up: next week’s update is gonna introduce an Electric Fireplace, which should be a cool Tier 4 addition for your base setups.
Key Fixes and Tweaks in Week 190
- Incendiary Sniper Ammo for the Anti-Materiel Rifle is now craftable at the Orbital Workshop, adding fire damage scaling on targets.
- Buildings and deployables in instanced levels now register correctly with the weather system’s biome controller.
- Achievements like Outpost Veteran and Outpost Builder won’t trigger incorrectly on Open World prospects anymore.
- NPC dialogue issues, including the missing line at the end of Ape B, have been fixed.
- The Blackwolf armor set can finally be altered again, and stamina usage bugs with the legendary bow and Frostbreaker blocking got sorted.
- Great Hunt arena entrances now properly show the ‘returns in xx seconds’ prompt to clients.
- Dead mounts with items in their inventory will persist between game reloads, so no more lost loot there.
- Loot Retrieval range got a bump from 4m to 15m and won’t bury loot bags underground if you’re crouching while using it.
That’s just scratching the surface! The full patch notes below go into a ton of other fixes and improvements, including UI polish, mesh fixes, and performance enhancements. The devs also removed some misplaced item tags and addressed issues with explosive rounds causing performance drops over time.
Hotfixes Over the Weekend
Two hotfixes went out last weekend to handle some urgent problems:
- Hotfix 125: Fixed a blocker in the Rimetusk Campaign mission ‘Field Work’ where an obsolete crafting objective was preventing completion.
- Hotfix 148: Fixed the Garganutan boss damage issue so it now takes physical damage properly again, and sorted out Steam achievement syncing bugs.
Looking Ahead: Electric Fireplace
Next week’s update will add an Electric Fireplace, a Tier 4 heating option similar to the Biofuel Fireplace but powered by your base’s power grid. No more manual fuel needed! This should make heating your base easier and more convenient.
