Dune: Awakening just received an update to version 1.1.17.0. This patch is important because it not only expands playable space in the Deep Desert but also addresses several connection and gameplay problems that players have been facing. If you play on Steam, you may want to restart your client to receive the update if it doesn’t appear automatically.
Features and Changes
- More rock islands have been added in the Deep Desert’s PvE area. This means players will find additional resources and more places to build bases. This change will take effect on July 29th, right after the Coriolis Storm apex.
- If you run into connection issues while crossing between servers in the Deep Desert and leave your ornithopter behind, it will now teleport to your respawn location along with you. That’s a helpful fix to prevent losing your vehicle.
- A little shout-out to Ben: your base power is out. Hopefully, that’s a joke from the developers, but it’s kinda funny to see it called out in the notes.
Fixes
- Server and client stability has been improved, which should reduce crashes and disconnections.
- Fixed a problem where exiting the ornithopter after failing to cross between Deep Desert partitions could lead to losing connection to the server.
- Addressed an exploit where players could gain experience unfairly by using points of interest.
- Closed a vulnerability that allowed players to duplicate items in social hubs.
- Fixed an issue causing players to get stuck and rubberband when trying to climb the sides of a small shipwreck.
