The Outlast Trials recently launched Season 4, bringing fresh content and, unsurprisingly, a handful of bugs. Red Barrels quickly responded with a hotfix on July 18, version 1.33/1.000.030 for consoles, eager to fix some of the more annoying issues players have been facing.
If you’ve been jumping into the new season, you might have noticed crashes or missing secondary objectives. This hotfix addresses those issues, as well as a few others that were causing headaches for co-op players and those exploring the Shopping Mall area. Believe it or not, this is the third patch in just one week, talk about keeping busy.
The Outlast Trials Season 4 Hotfix Details
- Fixed an issue where Co-Op doors were blocked, preventing progress.
- Adjusted Kress Twins spawn rates in the Shopping Mall to improve gameplay flow.
- Addressed a crash some players encountered at game launch.
- Resolved the Broadcast TVs Secondary Objective not spawning as intended.
Just the day before, another patch modified matchmaking settings by removing the trial fill option and increasing the number of Release Tokens granted to players. It also fixed trophy progression for those who had already released reagents before the 4.0 update, making sure Legacy Reborn Trophies unlock properly without extra hassle. Additionally, fixes were made to item variator behavior and gamepad focus issues in group options.
Yikes, that’s quite a bit to keep track of, but it shows Red Barrels is actively working to smooth out the experience. Do you think these fixes will finally stabilize Season 4? Or is there more to come?
