How to Acquire and Build a Buggy in Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening offers a vast open world where traveling without a proper vehicle is a real pain. The Buggy stands out as a key ride for players wanting to haul resources efficiently, especially when teamed up.

Before thinking about cruising the dunes in your own Buggy, you’ll need to research the Buggy Mk3 Assembly schematic. This unlocks crafting parts via the vehicle fabricator, which you then assemble piece by piece. It’s a grind, no doubt, but the payoff is worth it.

Yikes, right? Quite the haul. The Hagga Rift, north of the Eastern Vermillius Gap, is your best bet to find many of these materials in one go. Erythrite crystals abound here, perfect for making cobalt paste in your chemical refinery. Plus, you’ll spot servos, capacitors, and machinery needed for your buggy parts.

Imperial testing stations also drop valuable loot like current servoks and particle capacitors. Don’t forget to gather iron ore and carbon to craft plenty of steel — you’ll burn through it fast.

Once your parts are crafted with the vehicle fabricator, assemble them using a welding torch and wire. Patience pays off here.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

If you want your buggy sooner rather than later, don’t hesitate to tap into the Dune community via in-game chat. I posted a trade offer for erythrite crystals in Hagga Basin when I was short on cobalt paste. Two players, Saigo and Samuel Elliot, showed up pronto and invited me on a mining run. We hauled tons of materials back and forth, making the whole ordeal way more enjoyable.

The Buggy is a beast for farming resources and hauling massive loads. It’s a real game-changer for group play, and having one feels like leveling up your survival game.
