It is quite strange to discover a new Splinter Cell 2018 listing on Amazon Canada being made by Ubisoft. While it may sound like unintentional listing or mistake by Ubisoft, the whole gaming media is talking about this, as at the end it may appear to be entirely truthful.
It appears that Ubisoft listed Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 on Amazon Canada. Below you can find the image or check out the listing by yourself.
It is essential to keep our grasp on this story, for which it may turn out to be a decisive lead on Ubisoft’s next undiscovered project. Back in 2017, they have already admitted their ignorance regarding new Splinter Cell title. If we connect back to that, it is evident that Splinter Cell 2018 is much likely to appear among Ubisoft’s plans, leading to a reveal at this year’s E3.
On last year’s E3, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had an answer to all the rumors about Splinter Cell, claiming that all Tom Clancy’s series are having a considerable impact and Splinter Cell is less likely to be forgotten forever. More precisely:
I can’t say much about that. But, for sure, all the Clancy games are taken care of. It’s just we have quite a lot on our plate at the moment… All the Clancy games are really coming along, so we are not forgetting Splinter Cell.
While we miss an official Ubisoft statement, it could be the next official announcement since this kind of mistake is not every day’s occurrence, especially when it comes to a word for AAA developers.
