New Battlefield Labs Invites Roll Out for Early Playtesting

A fresh batch of invites to participate in Battlefield Labs has been dispatched to players, marking the opportunity to get an early look at Battlefield 6. EA has not disclosed how many players have received these coveted access codes.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, Battlefield Labs is EA’s initiative to involve the community in shaping the next chapter of the franchise. This rebranded approach serves a purpose similar to the previous ‘community test environment,’ inviting feedback on various gameplay aspects before launch.

The program hasn’t been without its growing pains; despite strict NDAs, leaks surrounding the game have surfaced online, frustrating some developers who voiced their concerns over breaches of confidentiality. Notably, issues related to skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) found their way into public discourse after misinterpretations arose among fans and gamers.

The Community Manager for Battlefield addressed these leaks by stating, “Battlefield Labs is about building and collaborating on the future of Battlefield, and we want to do that in the correct way. I want to remind everyone things that are taking place in Battlefield Labs may or may not make their way to the final finish line. This is the greatest thing about this program; it allows us the ability to get creative, see what works with those involved, gain educated and informed feedback from those participating and potentially spot bugs around features too.” They further emphasized that this ongoing effort responds to player requests for more involvement in development processes.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
