Call of Duty Black Ops 6

The roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3 has officially been unveiled. It showcases various new multiplayer maps, modes, and equipment changes. Players can look forward to fresh content that builds on the game’s competitive environment while introducing nostalgic elements from earlier installments.

Black Ops 6 Season 3 Maps

This season introduces five new maps plus a variant. First up is Barrage, a medium-sized Core map designed for 6v6 matches set against the backdrop of Vietnam in 1968. Next is Nomad, which offers players a small-sized Strike map experience within the ruins of a fortified settlement.

Next comes the highly expected remastered Firing Range version, a medium-sized Core map for 6v6 play. Fans will appreciate its return after being absent since Black Ops 4 in 2018. Haven adds to the mix with another medium-sized Core map set in a KGB Safehouse circa 1991.

The final addition is Signal, a small Strike Map for 6v6/2v2 skirmishes where battles begin from opposing submarine bays before moving through an ocean rig’s control room. Mid-season players can also enjoy Blazetown—a limited-time variant of Nuketown.

Multiplayer Modes

The new multiplayer modes making their debut are sure to excite many players. Classic modes like Sharpshooter and Demolition return alongside an interesting limited-time mode called Joint Operators.

Sharpshooter pits players against each other in a free-for-all party format where everyone uses identical loadouts that change every 45 seconds—players will receive different primary weapons, secondary weapons, melee options, tactical gear, and lethal items throughout the match.

Demolition involves teams alternating between offensive and defensive positions at two bomb sites. The attackers seek to destroy the bomb while earning time bonuses for successful detonations; all attacking team members start with bombs and can respawn multiple times during rounds.

Joint Operators, however, challenge players with five Core mode variants within one match: Head Stash (TDM), Inhalation (Domination), Hotbox (Hardpoint), Very High Target (HVT), and Munchies (Kill Confirmed). Some modifiers will spice things up by adding double health or low gravity gameplay, among other twists.

Perks

The roadmap details additional perks such as Close Shave—a type Enforcer perk enabling automatic use of your Dedicated Melee attack when performing weapon butt attacks—and Vendetta—a Recon-type perk that will arrive mid-season that reveals your killer’s last known location briefly upon respawning for some sweet revenge points. Plus, we have Death Machine stepping in as the new Lethal-type Scorestreak.

Multiplayer Ranked Changes

The ranked play system is also seeing notable shifts this season. Players can engage competitively using settings reflective of those employed by the Call of Duty League, including specific maps and weapon restrictions. Victorious matches grant Skill Ratings (SR), while rank progression unlocks exclusive Rank Skins and Win Challenge rewards.

A welcome update addresses cheaters directly; if someone who previously defeated you gets banned, you’ll receive SR back to offset any loss due to their actions. Also worth noting is that you now have the option to rejoin disconnected Ranked Matches as long as it occurs within five minutes.
Check out Ranked Play rewards and Weapon Blueprints here.

Your gaming experience might also get richer with Verdansk launching into battle royale casual mode featuring bots, or watch out for Zombies receiving their new map later this season! What do you think about these changes?
