A couple of days ago, some videos from the first playtest of Battlefield 6 leaked online. Since then, even more gameplay videos found their way to the Internet. And you know what? Battlefield 6 has the potential to be something special.
If you’ve played BF: Bad Company 2, you’ll remember its incredible destruction system, which set new standards for interactive environments in shooters. Sure, subsequent titles introduced improvements, but nothing really managed to recapture that visceral thrill until now. The recent clips suggest we might finally relive that experience again.
The big question remains: will this destruction feature apply across most buildings or just a select few? If limited, we might end up with extraordinary moments but nothing groundbreaking. However, if nearly every structure crumbles under firepower, we’re looking at a game many have longed for.
It’s also worth noting how EA and DICE are handling these leaks. While other companies often rush to scrub any unauthorized content from online platforms, EA seems to recognize the value here. Letting these videos circulate acts as free marketing for Battlefield 6, a smart move on their part!
Another welcome change is the return of classes. After wide criticism of the operator system in Battlefield 2042, DICE appears ready to return to a traditional class-based setup. This decision is likely a victory for dedicated fans who missed that strategic element.
There is no word yet on when Battlefield 6 will be released, but rest assured, we’ll keep an eye out for updates and share them with you as they come in.
