The latest update for Astroneer, titled “Glitchwalkers: Aeoluz Unlocked,” has landed, bringing a treasure chest of features that will delight both experienced players and those just starting their journey. With enhancements like Custom Game support and Dedicated Server options, it’s time to dive into what this update offers!
CUSTOM GAME SUPPORT
One of the standout additions is the new Custom Game support for the Glitchwalkers DLC. This allows players to tailor their experience even further. You can now toggle off storms and firewalls or adjust your starting Virus Protection level, unlocking hacked catalogs. For those who prefer a classic feel, you can start “vanilla” Aeoluz saves while still enjoying rewards and narrative elements. Just head to the Aeoluz menu and select Custom Games to get started!
- Glitchwalkers DLC now supports custom games!
- Toggled options for storms and firewalls.
- Set your starting Virus Protection level.
- Retains existing functionalities like modifying planets and biomes.
DEDICATED SERVER SUPPORT
The team has also introduced dedicated server support for all Glitchwalkers content. Now you can load a save or kick off a new session on either hosted or home-based servers! A quick note: only the host needs to own the DLC for regular multiplayer sessions, but everyone must have it for dedicated servers.
AEOLUZ ASTROPEDIA PAGE
An interesting addition is the brand-new Aeoluz-specific Astropedia page designed to help you locate resources within your Glitchwalkers saves. It’s always nice when developers think about making our resource hunts easier!
MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES
- The main menu now clearly states “Start a new Glitchwalkers Adventure Game” or “Start a new Glitchwalkers Creative Game,” reducing confusion when beginning a new save file.
- A sneak peek at new cosmetics: check out the Funguy Bundle coming soon to Exo Outfitters!
- To celebrate our 1.0 birthday, we’ve added Anniversary Item Mk VI to the in-game store, grab it within 30 days!
BUGFIXES
No update would be complete without addressing pesky bugs! This patch includes fixes across both the base game and Glitchwalkers DLC, tackling various crashes and multiplayer issues reported by players:
-
- Dedicated Server | Players sometimes start new game in the Core.
- D-cipher | Consumes storm data beyond max protection level.
- Large Rover Seat B | Collision misalignment on Large Rover Seat B model.
- Icons | Ruby D-Cipher icons have reversed colors from other packaged objects.
- Localization | D-Cipher header “Storm Protection Level” overflowing UI in some languages.
