THQ Nordic has launched SpellForce 3 Open Beta phase after a full decade since the last SpellForce sequel. The open beta game is available to play on Steam through this weekend, available to everyone. The Developer has also revealed the minimum and recommended PC requirements for SpellForce 3, and the game looks quite demanding.
Having a new real-time Strategy RPG game won’t hurt us, as the game looks quite amazing with its graphics and quality of gameplay. As the developer noted, the open beta will feature a multiplayer PVP of 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 where players would have a good glimpse of SpellForce antiquity. It will also hold 4 different maps.
Features of the Beta:
- Enjoy the player versus player multiplayer part in 1on1, 2on2 and 3on3.
- Play a single player skirmish against the AI
- Ability to play coop – even play one RTS faction together.
- Play all three factions – the Humans, the Orcs and the Elves
The beta contains 4 maps:
- Old Battlegrounds
- The Mystic Valley
- Hybernian Ruins
- Leonidar Heathlands
On the other side, for revealing if the game is worth or not, or it demands a lot of resources or not, I would let you decide on your own. The requirements similarly present the game as an AAA product, finding the CPUs as a questionable asset whether players’ machines are going to support the game or not.
