Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is swinging onto PC, and fans are buzzing with excitement. As we draw near to the release, Sony has finally shared details about the game’s features and system requirements. For those gearing up to dive into this web-slinging adventure, there’s a lot to unpack!
Sony’s developer Nixxes has revealed some intriguing enhancements tailored specifically for the PC version. In a recent blog post, they highlighted the availability of upscaling, frame generation, ultra-wide screen support, ray-traced shadows and ambient occlusion, improved ray-traced reflections, along with DualSense controller capabilities. Sounds like a feast for those who appreciate stunning visuals!
The communications manager at Nixxes, Julian Huijbregts, expressed their ambition: “With options like ray tracing and ultra-wide support, we want to give players the chance to make full use of their high-end PC gaming rigs.” It’s refreshing to see developers put thought into maximizing graphical fidelity while also considering gamers with older hardware by offering a variety of graphics settings.

However, those opting for an account will gain access to exclusive in-game extras.
If you’re wondering about story content updates, Insomniac confirmed back in October that there would be “no additional story content planned” for this title upon its release. So if you’re hoping for new narratives woven into this web-slinger saga, you might need to temper your expectations.
An interesting side note is that Ted Price, founder and president of Insomniac Games, is retiring this March after leading the studio since its inception in ’94. That’s quite a legacy he leaves behind!
