The latest update for Dark and Darker, labeled Early Access Hotfix #76, addresses numerous bugs and stability issues following the recent wipe. The developers at IRONMACE have also made several balance adjustments, mainly focusing on the newly introduced Sorcerer class.
This hotfix aims to rectify various gameplay issues that emerged with the introduction of large systems in the previous updates. Players can expect improvements in overall game performance alongside fixes for specific spells and abilities across multiple classes.

- Fixed an issue where the hit effect could appear in a different location when using the Sorcerer’s Lightning Sphere spell.
- Fixed an issue where the Sorcerer’s Electric Dash spell could be used to position a boss in a place where his attacks could not reach.
- Fixed an issue where the player’s hand could appear to freeze while casting a Sorcerer’s spell and then cast the spell multiple times.
- Fixed an issue where Slimes could pass through without being hit when the Sorcerer’s Water Bolt spell was placed facing the floor.
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to escape from a rope escape hatch without a rope using the Sorcerer’s Electric Dash.
- Fixed an issue where some attacks would collide instead of passing through with Warlock’s Phantomize spell activated.
- Fixed an issue where the 15% reduction in physical and magical damage was not applied when using Warlock’s Curse of Weakness spell.
- Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, a dead monster could recover health by applying Warlock’s Curse.
- Fixed an issue where the Ghost King could be stopped if the Ranger’s Forceful Shot or the Sorcerer’s Windblast spell was used during certain attack patterns of the Ghost King boss.
- Fixed an issue where the Giant Worm’s movement speed could become too fast if Rogue’s Hide skill was continuously used while the Giant Worm was moving.
- Fixed an issue where the Giant Worm would continue to move even when using the Hide skill of the Rogue.
- Fixed an issue where sounds could be muffled in certain spots in the Cave Maze module.
- Fixed an issue where Goblins would not attack the player.
- Fixed an issue where Giant Worm sounds could be heard before spawning.

- Fixed an issue where when you kill a Living Statue, then leave the area and then return, the corpse may appear to disappear.
- Fixed an issue where Mimics could become stuck in surrounding objects and become unable to move in certain locations in the Catacombs.
- Fixed an issue where Skeletons in certain locations in the Ice Cavern would not attack the player.
- Fixed an issue where the Ice Giant Spider would not recognize the player in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where Ice Giant Spider could move while hanging upside down.
- Fixed an issue where equipment score text could be visible in the Dungeon select UI when a dungeon wasn’t selected.
- Fixed an issue where you could enter the dungeon as a duo despite random matching as a trio.
- Fixed an issue where you may not be able to enter a High Roller dungeon when random matching is attempted while the number of people required to enter the dungeon is not met.
- Fixed an issue where an installed Pavise could not be picked up properly.
- Fixed an issue where legendary and unique grade Clubs had the same weapon damage.

- Fixed an issue where the UI would flicker when clicking alternately between High Roller and Arena statistics in the Player Statistics tab.
- Fixed an issue where Season, High Roller, and Arena items were not categorized separately in the Player Statistics tab.
- Fixed an issue where audio settings could become out of sync with Windows’ sound settings.
Balance
Barbarian
- Barbarian’s Carnage duration changed from 7 to 15 seconds.
- Barbarian’s Morale Boost health recovery amount changed from 12% to 33%.
- Barbarian’s Blood Exchange duration changed from 8 to 12 seconds and health penalty changed from -20% to -10%.
- Barbarian’s War Sacrifice duration changed from 8 to 12 seconds.
Ranger
- Ranger’s Kinesthesia movement speed bonus has changed from 10% to 15%.
Cleric
- Cleric’s Over Healing loss amount changed from 1% to 2% per second.
- Cleric’s Judgement casting speed has changed from 0.75 to 1.25.
- Cleric’s Bless spell tier has changed from 1 to 2, and it now changes all attributes by 2.
- Cleric’s Lesser Heal count has changed from 3 to 4.
- Cleric’s Sanctuary count has changed from 1 to 2.
- Cleric’s Locust Swarm count has changed from 1 to 2 and its attribute bonus ratio has changed from 75% to 100%.
Druid
- Druid now has Spell Memory 2.
- Druid’s Chicken form occasionally makes noises even while standing still.
Sorcerer
- Sorcerer’s Apex of Sorcery both bonuses changed from 25% to 50%.
- Sorcerer’s Mana Fold spell casting speed penalty changed from -25% to -15%, movement speed bonus penalty changed from -5% to -2.5%.
- Sorcerer’s Water Bolt size has changed from 15 to 20.
- Sorcerer’s Stone Skin physical damage reduction bonus has changed from 15% to 10%.
- Sorcerer’s Lightning Sphere damage has changed from 10 to 5, and its attribute bonus ratio has changed from 100% to 50%.
- Sorcerer’s Lightning Bolts no longer penetrate obstacles.
- Sorcerer’s Lightning Bolt maximum trackable angle changed from 60 to 30 degrees.
- Sorcerer’s Lightning Bolt damage has changed from 10 to 5.
- Sorcerer’s Flamethrower tick interval changed from 0.2 to 0.1.
- Sorcerer’s Electric Dash landing damage has changed from 30 to 15.
Item
- Potion of Clarity recovery amount per second changed from 17 to 34.
- Potion of Clarity duration for each rarity changed from 4/6/8/10/12/14/16s to 8/10/12/14/16/18/20s.
Game updates
- Changed the VFX size of Wizard’s Magic Missile and Fireball.
- Changed the number of Bat Wing drops. (20% chance to drop 1 -> 20% chance to drop 1~2)
- Changed the Account tab to not be visible when Twitch Drops are not in progress.
- Improved UI of preseason Arena.
- Improved scrollbar speed in some UI.
- Improved the confirmation pop-up when completing a quest that includes a reward that is tied to the character.
