Someone may deny the title above, but there’s no other explanation to recent events. Especially after the Dueling Fates 7.07 patch. Valve’s and Icefrog’s Dota 2 has been one of the most played games throughout 2016. However, everyone could’ve tasted it’s denying flavor which resulted in a fall of concurrent players in Dota 2. On the other side of the story, League of Legends and Heroes of the Storm seemed to be noticing a slightly improved publicity in their MOBA games.
Precaution measures were taken
Valve had to do something to improve and balance Dota 2 even further.
Having a solid number of concurrent players is more than welcome. Every developer loves to feel the power and recognizable effect of high concurrent players a game they’ve developed. With the most recent 7.07 update, Valve has managed to increase Dota 2’s concurrent players’ number by around 100.000 to 150.000 players. Therefore, your veracity checks on whether the update is good or bad are here.
Let’s be honest. Speaking about MOBAs, Dota 2 has to be the best one ever in terms of mechanics, in-game features, cosmetics (there’s a lot more to talk about but we’ll keep it short) etc… Plus, with the latest update, Dota 2 has also received lots of changes including two new heroes, new items, and talent changes. Thanks to the talent changes, it feels like every hero offers two paths, without the matter if he’s a carry or a support. This is what actually makes Dota 2 reckon a bit of LoL… even if in Dota 2 there’s a reason why a support hero holds the support role and doesn’t act crazy.
Back in the days when talents first appeared with the New Journey update of 7.00 the game had the same feeling as before, despite the Talents feature. Basically, I came up with this idea because Dota 2 simply offers a lot more than the other 2 competitors do. We know that everyone loves Blizzard and Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, but this assumption holds a legit background veracity check and proves that Dota 2 is the best MOBA game currently out there.
There’s no way other MOBA game will catch up on Dota 2. At least not anytime soon. It’s a pure masterpiece of its own in every single perspective. Having the Quality and Quantity Community, Valve may perform any change they’d love to.
