After patch 2.0, Blizzard has been doing nothing else rather than adding some new content and fixing some known bugs in Heroes of the Storm without focusing on other core issues within the game. What we assume is that all the news were probably put on hold as we were getting closer to this year’s BlizzCon. It’s an event that has to include some breaking news. Therefore, here we are, talking about Heroes of the Storm again.
After the announcement of Hanzo and Alexstrasza joining the Nexus, there has been something more enjoyable to talk about. One of the most important and exciting news is the new and improved Matchmaking Ranking system that is about to come in early 2018. It will be a pure Performance-based ranking which is going to set a change in Blizzard’s traditional win-loss system.
Therefore, we assume there will be some kind of a futuristic skill measurement which is going to have an impact on your rank “number”, without the matter if you lose or win in a single game. Because it refers to an in-game Performance, it must not be a raw and default number gained or lost based on a win or a loss.
The biggest and best highlight is that in 2018, Heroes of the Storm will receive a voice chat feature, which should improve the gameplay experience by allowing players to communicate better.
Check out the other Heroes of the Storm trailer, showcasing the gameplay of the two new heroes coming to Heroes of the Storm, including the additional changes that are about to deploy in 2018.
