Dying Light: The Beast is officially dropping in the summer of 2025, and I can’t contain my excitement! It seems that this sequel it’s a whole new beast, literally. Techland has confirmed this launch window at the end of an epic trailer that premiered during The Game Awards. If you haven’t seen it yet, please check it out below!
Dying Light: The Beast will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. That means whether you’re a console warrior or a PC master race member, you’re covered!
Now, let’s rewind a bit. Initially announced in August as story DLC for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, this project morphed into something much bigger than anyone anticipated. Techland shared that after two years of development, they realized it evolved into a standalone experience worthy of its spotlight!
What’s the plot twist? We’re exploring back into the world through the eyes of Kyle Crane, the undercover agent from the first game. He’s been stuck in captivity for a whopping 13 years thanks to the Baron (who looks super creepy, by the way), and now he’s infected too! This storyline is based on one of those multiple endings from the original game. Can you say “intense”?
It’ll take around 18 hours to complete! Set against the backdrop of Castor Woods, a former tourist hotspot turned nightmare, Kyle’s mission is all about revenge against those who tortured him with brutal experiments. I mean, who doesn’t love a good revenge tale? It gets me excited just thinking about it!
