Path of Exile 2 Developers Respond to Early Access Feedback

It’s always exciting when a long-awaited game finally makes its debut, and for Path of Exile 2, the early access release has been quite the journey. Despite some initial hiccups, developer Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is basking in the success that followed the launch on December 6. They’ve taken a moment to reflect on player feedback and share their plans.

The launch weekend has been a blast,” GGG expressed warmly. “We’ve really enjoyed seeing all of you get your hands on the game and finally try out the project we have been working on for so long.” Now that things have settled down, GGG is ready to explore the feedback they’ve received. They acknowledge that while players were excited to jump in, there’s always room for improvement.

Key Changes Ahead

Among the changes being implemented are updates related to checkpoints, dodge rolls, rare monsters, map mods, items, currency, and more. GGG is listening closely to what players want.

Improved Rewards

One significant concern was items and currency, and many players felt that “the game is not rewarding enough.” GGG is taking this seriously and has pinpointed key areas where adjustments will be made to improve gameplay.

  • Regal orb drop rates increased by 40%
  • Lesser Jewellers orb drops raised by 33%
  • Gemcutter’s Prism drops boosted by an impressive 500%

There are still a lot more changes to come; these are just some of the changes that are fast for us to make,” they added reassuringly. The team promises ongoing monitoring of feedback as they continue refining the experience.

For those excited for even more details about these adjustments, you can check out the full notes via the game’s official website.
