Talking about a big hit, a franchise that never dies. Assassin’s Creed lives in gamer’s soul for almost a decade now. Without turning to ashes, replenish is the only thing it does, when Ubisoft releases or announces a new story of the very known adventure. From all the past Assassin’s Creed Series, Assassin’s Creed Origins will be the first one to offer improved Stealth mechanics, while also including something that we never experienced before.
Assassin’s Creed Origins, together with its vast Open World, will focus on the RPG elements a bit more than the previous series. But despite that, we’ll all have a chance to experience and set up a pace we would love to follow. Thanks to the Difficulty Option, enabled for the first time in the Assassin’s Creed History, players will be able to set up their preferred difficulty they would love to travel upon.
This kind of move is not well known, especially when we’re talking about Ubisoft. For almost a decade this option was not included in any of the previous Assassin’s Creed series. I guess there’s a first time for everything. In this way, a whole bigger and wider spectrum of players will join the game. Even if the game’s aspect doesn’t seem to fit a difficulty option, nor the players are used to something like that in Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Origins will be something different.
In a GamesRadar interview, Ashraf Ismail stated the following:
Some people play for the historic context, some people for the narrative, some for the gameplay, and what we felt was by going deeper into the gameplay challenge of the game we’re feeding one part of the audience, but not others so it was a natural step for us to think ‘well, let’s give difficulty settings.
It should lead to a better overall experience, and being able to set up a dynamic difficulty may allow players to pass bosses or missions a lot easier. It is quite a nice decision, but we’ll see how everything plays out in the end.
