Starfield’s latest free update is here and is bringing the REV-8 vehicle to play. This will allow explorers to traverse across planets and have fun while doing it.
The vehicle can be acquired by visiting your ship technician to install a vehicle module. That’s all. Once you have the module, the REV-8 will automatically deploy outside of the ship wherever you land. The vehicle is fully customizable, which is yet another unique feature added to the game.
The vehicle itself is equipped with a powerful mounted turret, as well as armor. It also has boosters to help you get out of a messy situation, and they can also be used to jump in the air and reach areas that would have previously been much tougher to get to. You can find the full patch notes below:
New Settings
- Frame Rate Target:
- Options: 30, 40, 60, or Uncapped (on VRR displays).
- For non-VRR displays running at 120Hz, the options are 30 or 60.
- Note: Screen tearing may occur when selecting 60 on a non-VRR display.
- Prioritize:
- You can prioritize between Visuals and Performance while maintaining the frame rate target.
- Recommendation: If choosing a frame rate target of 60 or above, prioritize Performance.
- Visuals: Maintains the highest resolution with full detail for special effects, lighting, and crowds.
- Performance: Lowers internal resolution and reduces detail for special effects, lighting, and crowds.
- Both modes may adjust internal resolution dynamically during heavy scenes or action.
- Switching between modes may briefly change the lighting as the system adjusts.
- VSync:
- Toggle between VSync On or Off.
- VSync Off: Separates the game frames from the monitor’s refresh rate, which may result in screen tearing.
- VSync On: Synchronizes the frame rate with the monitor’s refresh rate, preventing screen tearing but limiting the number of frames.
