Welcome to the newest Paladins Buck Build Guide (loadout). This build was done by the three of us, gamers at FGR. We’ve been talking about the build especially trying to build it against Androxus :). According to us Buck has been always a strong counter to Androxus. By using this Build you should be a lot more tanky, mobile and get the possibility and freedom to flank and roam.
Buck is a flanking champion which have extra cool abilities like every other flanker. Well, we do know that this build is a little bit default looking, but believe us, there is a really strong power hiding behind it ;).
Keep in mind that we are not going to show you what to buy ingame, because those purchases must be done depending on the champions playing against you. We will continue to cover all of the champions in random order until we release the builds (loadouts) for every single one of them.
Paladins Buck Build Guide – Deep Throat
Why is the build called Deep Throat? There’s a big secret laying behind that and we are not going to tell you anything about that. Let’s just say you can jump on people’s heads :). Let’s start with the explanation.
Card Seismic Wave: 2 points
What this card does is lowering the cooldown of Heroic Leap by 1s. 1 second may not be enough time to do your job. You cannot deny the inevitable which is coming your way. That’s Buck’s thing. He’s the inevitable champion and you cannot run from him that easy. Thanks to the leap you can easily get close to enemies and burst them down. Killing enemies like Kinessa, Androxus, Cassie, or Viktor should be your main job. If your team is getting flanked, make sure you jump on the flankers. Never forget that your leap is both used good for initiation and disengaging (running away).
Card Giga Siphon: 4 points
Recovery grants 40% Lifesteal while active. This is definitely a must when playing Buck. Do not lower it down. This will make you pain if you jump on Androxus. It’s not the recovery Heal that will save you, instead, it’s the Giga Siphon card that will make a difference. That’s why we said you are going to feel the needed power and pop those muscles in front of an enemy champion. Just make sure to jump the enemy close. Why? Because after the activation of Recovery you will gain Lifesteal, which means healing yourself based on a percentage of the damage dealt. This is freaking insane if you go close to an enemy.
Card Rapid Sustain: 2 points
Whoooohaaa. This card looks even more OP together with Giga Siphon, right? Imagine hitting the Recovery in the right time. That should make totally unbeatable. After every single fight you’ll walk away on full hp. Lifesteal, More recovery… you can even start taking the capture point… Just kidding. Enough talking for this card because you already know the basics of using the second and third card as a combo.
Card Stomping Ground: 2 points
This card will give you an additional cooldown reduction on your active spells by 30%. We’ve been thinking to add more points to this card, but hey, you are Buck. After this card, you are probably thinking, why only 1 card with 4 points. Usually there are 2 cards with 3 or 4 points so it will determine what kind of build you have. No, you do not need that with Buck. With Buck, all you need is balance. You might want to get the “middle of the cake”. Let’s continue with the last card of this Paladins Buck build guide.
Card Reconstruction: 2 points
Just a little help for lowering down the cooldown of Recovery. Sometimes 2 seconds can be enough. Do not forget the previous card, lowering cooldowns by 30%. Both of these cards should help you survive, or even get a kill on another enemy that focuses you.
Gameplay
Uhm….. daaa! You might wanna jump on enemy heroes and kill them. Do not forget to take the jump as close as you can, closer to an enemy hero, because that’s the only chance to kill him fast. Buck fires Shrapnel Cannon which consists 20 shrapnels, each dealing 27 damage up to 540 damage per shot. Imagine you are close on that guy and he takes all of the shrapnels. Yummy :)! You will definitely learn how to do it. When you jump in front of a fight, if you have the eagle eyes and focus, try to activate your Recovery after your health goes a little bit less than half of it. In that way you can trigger the Rapid Sustain card. Imagine all of the healing power you can get.
Using the ultimate is not that important. Keep it at the best moment and just take down one of the most damage dealing enemy champions. You cannot do anything special with your ult except taking down the strongest enemy champion. That would seal the deal.
We hope you like our newest Paladins Buck Build Guide. It’s pretty much balanced. You can definitely own by using this build. If you think something’s wrong with it, leave a reply in the comment section down below. We will try to answer and maybe update the build with your name tag on it.
