It all goes in a circle, as Bethesda and id Software revealed multiple new details about DOOM: The Dark Ages during QuakeCon 2024. Judging by the details, the game promises to be much bigger but also maintain the fast-paced and brutal gameplay it always had.

- The game’s world will be much bigger, and it will move away from linear paths, which is very different from its predecessors.
- There will also be some new medieval arsenal coming to the game, and the weapons and their mechanics will feel fresh to the whole player base.
- Three new melee weapons will become your wielding power, and those are Flair, Mace, and Fists. Each one of them will have different powers.
- Also, 3 new weapons have been revealed and those are the Double-Barrel Plasma Shotgun and the Single-Barrel Shotgun. Each of these will pack the necessary firepower to eliminate the demons on your way.
- A saw shield will also be available, which can be used to move across the territory in an unusual way.
- The game will have less verticality than Doom Eternal.
- The Glory Kill system will be revamped
- Last but not least, there will be Mechs that players can pilot throughout the campaign. They will have a special HUD that will make the players feel unbeatable.
