Let’s settle it once and for all. New World, the game we’ve all been pouring our time into since it came out and was fun to play, is now a subject of “good or bad.” New World and its current state seem to be trending on social media, especially on Reddit, where people give their opinions on the game.
Those still whirling around in the game, have stated that New World is a ghost town right now, despite the release of multiple seasons and content updates. The only players left are the tryhards who dominate in PvP and terrorize new players. These guys are like the final boss of an MMORPG, but not in a good way.
Then there’s this whole “war-logging” thing. If you’re out of the loop, war loggers are players who only log in for wars and disappear. They’re often in multiple wars across different servers in a single day. These players practice like it’s the World Cup. They have good healers and solid crowd control, which, most of the time, falls in sync. Sounds like a dream team, right? Well, these war loggers are so good that they make the game unplayable for casual players because they’re also gods, and they have practiced their wars for a long time.
Do you know what’s worse than losing to a better player? Losing to a better player who trash-talks you the entire time. The toxicity in New World’s PvP is basically on another level, and the ones that obliterate you, they usually mow you down with a bit of trash talk.
So there you have it. The answer is pretty much here, and that’s that New World is a game with so much potential, but a toxic community and questionable design choices are holding it back. If you’re new to the game, tread carefully. There are moments of greatness, but they’re often overshadowed by the negatives. Here’s hoping the devs find a way to turn things around because right now, the game feels like it’s on life support.
