CI Games and Epic Games Team Up
CI Games has teamed up with Epic Games, the legends behind Unreal Engine and Fortnite are jumping on board to publish the next installment of Lords of the Fallen. The sequel, codenamed Project 3, is set to drop in 2026.
On June 14, CI Games and Epic Games signed a deal that makes Epic the exclusive worldwide distributor for Lords of the Fallen 2 on PC. But don’t worry, console players, CI Games is still handling the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Here’s a snippet from the agreement, translated from the Polish financial site Bankier:
“Epic” pursuant to which the Company grants Epic the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the sequel of the game “Lords of the Fallen” (working title: Project 3) (the “Game”) on the PC platform for the entire product life cycle (the “Binding Term Sheet”).
What’s in Store for Us?
Now, if you’re thinking, “What’s this sequel all about?” Let’s dive in. Earlier this year, rumors were swirling about a sequel allegedly titled Death of the Fallen, also known as Project 3. HexWorks is back in the saddle for this one, and they’re cranking it up a notch with Unreal Engine 5. We’re talking about more ambitious gameplay and features designed to pull in an even wider audience. It’s gonna be massive!
Steam? Not Anytime Soon
Before you get too excited, PC gamers, here’s a heads-up: since Epic Games is publishing, don’t expect to see Lords of the Fallen 2 on Steam anytime soon.
