If you’ve been waiting for Sony’s upcoming shooter Concord, here’s some news to chew on before you slam that pre-order button. According to the Australian PlayStation Store, we’re looking at a $40 price tag for the Standard Edition in the US and £35 in the UK. It’s not too shabby, considering the typical wallet assault we’ve come to expect.
Spotted by a Resetera user, this pricing comes just in time, as pre-orders are set to go live this Thursday. Now, if you’re Down Under, the Standard Edition is pegged at $60 AUD, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will run you $95 AUD.
If we follow the trend set by Helldivers 2, another Sony-published title, we can expect Concord’s Digital Deluxe Edition to carry similar price tags in the US and in the UK. This edition packs some heat with three days of early access, 16-character skins, and a Monarch Pack.
Sony dropped the first gameplay footage last week, and let’s say it didn’t exactly blow the roof off. YouTube viewers weren’t thrilled, but hey, it’s early days. The game will launch on August 23 for PS5 and PC, with a beta dropping in July. That’s your chance to get in early and see if it’s worth the hype.
For those not in the loop, Concord is a 5v5 team-based shooter where you’ll compete as ‘freegunners.’ So, if you’re the type who likes to jump into character backstories and lore, this one’s got you covered. It’s also worth noting that this is the debut title from Firewalk Studios, one of PlayStation’s new darlings. They’re betting big on this one, so fingers crossed it doesn’t crash and burn.
