After waiting for a long time, Nacon has officially revealed the release date for the highly anticipated open-world racer, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. For those into this game, make sure you highlight September 12 in your calendar, because that’s when we’ll be hitting the streets of Hong Kong Island on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
They’ve just put out a fresh trailer, and it’s loaded with gameplay showcasing some sick locales across Hong Kong Island. We’re talking about a 1:1 recreation of the place with over 600 kilometers of roads to tear up. The trailer also gives us a good look at the variety of cars we’ll be able to get our hands on. If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely check it out! The YouTube player for the trailer can be found below:
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was first announced back in July 2020, and it’s been a bumpy ride since then. The game should’ve arrived in September 2022, but then it got pushed back to 2023, and then again to early 2024. Nacon promised we’d get it before April this year, and sure enough, here we are. Better late than never, right?
Pre-orders are live now for all platforms, and the game is priced at $59.99. If you’re as hyped as I am, you might want to secure your copy soon.
The game is set in a beautifully detailed Hong Kong Island, divided into 14 districts. Players can join one of two factions, the Streets or the Sharps. Each faction has its own unique headquarters, cosmetics, and more. It’s all about finding your style and owning the roads. There are speed traps, challenges, and even Wrecks where you can collect parts to build some truly iconic cars.
