Natus Vincere and Faze measured their strength in the first major championship in Counter-Strike 2 in Copenhagen. After a couple of challenging and close games, NaVi has come out on top, becoming the first champion of the inaugural CS2 major tournament.
There was tons of surprising matchups, especially when we’re talking about the two Titans that are definitely in the best shape at this very moment. Hence, the final, yeah?
First map: Ancient
Since the start of the first map, there were multiple standouts. One of them was JL and his performance on the first map, which also managed to close the match with a 3v1 clutch.
Second map: Mirage
The second map fell in favor of Faze.. by a lot. They pretty much demolished NaVi with 13-2. They flipped the script and went to the third map, which is pretty much back to best of 1. But based on the previous results, it seems that FaZe will have the confidence heading to map 3.
This means that for the first time since 2018, a major goes as long as a third map. Since then, we haven’t had the chance to see a close match, which in nature, is a lot more exciting and what the crowd would’ve ever wanted to see.
Third map: Inferno
Well, it was time for a comeback, and Navi did it. They did what FaZe had done to them on the second map. There’s not much to talk about, but it is worth mentioning that B1T has had the game of his life. JL dominated as well, while Karrigan, FaZe’s Captain had a rough time and ended the match with only 1 kill.
Getting a win of this caliber is always a collective effort, but the MVP, JL is to be remembered. This is the first Counter-Strike 2 major championship, and there will be more in the future, and this young team of NaVi, is just starting.

NaVi deserved the victory, and it proves the mastery of their skills in Counter-Strike 2. Overall, the championship was exciting, even though no one really could’ve stated that exactly these two teams will clash in the finals.
