What seems to be quite stunning is that Cyberpunk 2077 and its DLC Phantom Liberty have reached over $750 Million in Revenue. Thanks to CD Projekt Red’s last quarterly earnings report, both the game and its expansion have earned 3 billion PLN in revenue.
Last year alone, the game earned $206 million, partly thanks to Phantom Liberty and a major game update that breathed new life into Night City.
Over 25 million gamers have walked the Night City, with Phantom Liberty snaring 5 million sales by the end of 2023. Crafting Cyberpunk 2077 needed a $316 million budget for the base game and an additional $85 million for Phantom Liberty. And let’s not forget the nearly $41 million spent polishing the game post-launch. But it’s good to see that everything paid off for CDPR.
Now, as Cyberpunk 2077 enters a new chapter, all eyes are on Project Orion. Though still in mystery, we cannot wait to learn more about it.
