Bethesda has announced that the Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology, a PC collection of all Fallout titles, will be released on April 11. Pre-orders are currently available, as per Bethesda’s official blog post.
The release of the anthology is scheduled to coincide with the excitement for the upcoming Fallout TV series. The series’ first episode will premiere on April 12th on Amazon Prime. The physical edition of the anthology does not include any discs but instead features seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. cards. Each card represents a series’ defining stats and consists of a PC code for one of the games.
The Fallout collection includes various games developed by Interplay and Bethesda. It spans from the original Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel to Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, Fallout: New Vegas – Ultimate Edition, Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, and the online game Fallout 76.
Collectors will be pleased to know that the anthology includes a special mini-nuke container that creates an explosion sound effect, providing a unique addition to the package. This is a tribute to the game’s famous in-game item, and it also offers a tangible collectible item to complement the digital game codes.
