Update: According to Battlestate Games, this has been fixed and should no longer appear.
All of you who are still struggling to get inside the game, remember that it’s not your fault, and there’s no proper workaround for the “There is no game with the name EFT.” One thing’s sure: Battlestate Games is working on a fix and will probably finish it soon.
The “There is no game with name EFT” error in the Escape from Tarkov launcher can be frustrating, but there are several solutions you can try to fix it. First and foremost, the one that has been working for most of my friends and colleagues is the Run as Administrator. To do this, right-click the BSG launcher and click Run as Administrator. If you don’t see it as an option, make sure you hold down SHIFT while you’re right-clicking the icon.
As for the other additional tips, I’d recommend…
- Clean Boot Your System: Performing a clean boot on your system can help identify if any third-party software conflicts with the game. This process involves starting Windows with minimal drivers and startup programs.
- Disable Antivirus Temporarily: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with games. Temporarily disabling your antivirus might resolve the issue. Be cautious, as this could expose your system to security risks.
- Clear Cache Data: Clearing cache data can sometimes fix issues with loading or running software.
- Reset Game/Launcher Settings to Default: Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause issues. Resetting the game and launcher settings to their default values might help.
