Amazon remained a competitor on pricing. At the time of checking, the PlayStation 4 version was listed at $69.00 on Amazon, and the PlayStation 5 listing showed inconsistent pricing information on the retailer’s pages. That small difference reinforced a simple point: it paid to compare retailers if you wanted the best deal.
Despite a mixed critical reception, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continued to draw heavy player numbers after launch. The title had a record-setting opening and high engagement, which kept it among the most-played shooters worldwide during the period following release.
