The Fun Pimps have unleashed the Storm’s Brewing V2.0 Experimental build for 7 Days to Die, letting players test the latest changes before the official stable version arrives. This experiment is accessible now on Steam, with the stable release planned for Monday, June 30th—unless some nasty bugs or certification issues decide otherwise.
Jumping into this update requires opting in via Steam, which is pretty straightforward:
- Open Steam.
- Head to your Library and right-click on “7 Days to Die.”
- Select “Properties” then go to the “Betas” tab.
- Pick “latest_experimental – Unstable build” from the dropdown menu and close the window.
- Steam will then download the update, and you can fire up the game to try the experimental version.
Wondering what’s new or changed? The details are in the official Storm’s Brewing V2.0 Release Notes. It’s worth a look if you want to know what’s brewing in this update.
With the stable version looming, this experimental phase is your chance to see what’s coming and maybe report any game-breaking issues before everyone else. Yikes, bugs can be a pain, but that’s the price of early access, right?
What do you think about the new experimental build? Have you jumped in yet? Please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. I’m curious to know if this update is hitting the mark or missing it.
