7 Days to Die just rolled out its V2.0 b292 EXP update, and it’s packed with some cool tweaks and fixes that players will notice immediately. From zombies speeding up during storms to new commands and lots of bug squashing, this patch polishes the survival experience.
Here’s what’s new and changed since the previous b289 update:
Added
- Biome zombies now move at blood moon speeds during damaging storms — yep, things got a lot more intense when the weather turned nasty.
- A handy new command to complete challenges has been introduced.
- Player shelter checks now look diagonally up for openings, improving protection logic.
- Warnings for RWG spawnWildernessPrefab overflowing TileSize have been added.
- Server browser filters now include options for Biome Progression and Storm Frequency settings.
- A tooltip explaining the “Filter small POIs” toggle in the Teleport to POIs menu was added for clarity.
Changed
- A few more Points of Interest (POIs) have been added to the Navezgane map — always good to have more places to look at!
- Grace now deals significantly more block damage, making her a tougher foe.
- Loot quality in the mine_01 area has been improved based on player feedback.
- Snow terrain health has been increased, so it holds up better.
- The chance of general zombie loot bag drops has been slightly reduced from 5% to 4%.
- Some Burnt Zombie voice-over attacks received minor adjustments and fresh variations.
- Biome challenge time requirements have been reduced by 5 minutes.
- Buffs for Medium and Heavy Stealth Boots have been removed as they’re no longer necessary.
- All armor sets no longer have the canHaveCosmetic tag.
- The Stealth Boots Mod was reworked to display and update stats properly when installed.
- The Stealth Boots Mod now reduces Stamina/s and Noise by 0.1 and -10% for both Medium and Heavy Boots.
- Sleeper Spawn material sound effects and audio sources were updated.
- Blocks tagged with PercMasteryDukeHarvest now use a destroy event instead of harvest to avoid exploits.
- Perk localization was updated to reflect recent balancing changes in non-English languages.
- Vehicles now appear as unlocked by default.
Fixed
- Face assignment and gaps in brick_half_destroyed06 were adjusted.
- Animals and the demo stopped attacking only the lower block and trying to walk through 1m holes.
- Biome Skulls now display correct coloring.
- CRT TV audio loops no longer continue when the game is paused.
- Electrocutioner perk’s extended shock durations now work properly with Intellect Mastery level 5.
- Entering a vehicle as a passenger with ranged items no longer disables post processing for other players.
- Fixed error spam during crafting window updates on loading when repairing.
- Grace’s model was slimmed down to fit through 1m wide openings better, and her face pokes through walls less.
- Corrected rotation issues on a Navezgane map POI.
- Fixed incorrect terrain types in Navezgane residential tiles.
- Insect Swarms no longer move faster when their target is on a vehicle.
- Added missing infestation loot chest in mine_01.
- All biomes are now properly listed inside the biomes node in biomes.xml.
- Players can’t move into tight areas and avoid storm shelter checks anymore.
- RWG wilderness mod prefab generation errors for sizes 137 to 149 were fixed.
- RWG wilderness mod prefabs larger than 150 are now correctly centered in their tiles.
- Rally Marker Ambient Loop audio bug fixed.
- Stretched UVs on concrete_half_destroyed06 fixed.
- Supply crate interaction text now properly localizes.
- Terrain and POI position bugs on Navezgane map were fixed.
- Treasure map quest lock now works for all maps used, not just the first one.
- Logic to clear CVars for the Photographic Memory perk after using Grandpa’s Fergit’n Elixir was updated.
It’s impressive how many small but meaningful fixes and improvements the developers squeezed into this patch. The faster biome zombies during storms? That’s going to keep you on your toes, for sure. And the new filters in the server browser? Nice touch for customizing your multiplayer experience.
