Hello Survivors! If you’ve been waiting for some fresh content in 7 Days to Die, good news is here. The latest update, V1.3 B6 Experimental, has rolled out, and it’s focused on adding some interesting new elements for players to enjoy.
The development team at TFP has announced that they’ve officially passed certification for the Japanese PS5 version. This update primarily targets gore improvements, aiming to enhance the overall experience with a bit more flair—perfect for those who appreciate the finer details of zombie encounters.

- Right click on the game in Steam
- Click on properties
- Select the “betas” tab
- The drop-down menu will have latest_experimental available; that’s what you want!
- Select that and wait for the game to download

Added
- Texture and Material variants for several zombies and gore blocks specifically for PS5 Japanese rating only. Players can also use console command tcc at the main menu if they’d like to toggle Japanese gore variants on PC, Linux, and Mac versions.
- The addition of gore to fat Hawaiian zombies adds an extra layer of detail.

- The RWG Preview Quality is now limited to High on console devices, ensuring a smoother visual experience without compromising performance.
- A readable error message appears when attempting to add duplicate entity class names, which should reduce confusion during gameplay.

- An NRE issue when starting the game with EOS disabled has been resolved, making it easier for players who previously faced this hurdle.
- The button localizations on PlayerList/BlockedPlayers were corrected after being swapped around in earlier versions.
- The mod event PlayerSpawnedInWorld not triggering correctly for listen server host players has been fixed as well.
- A crash issue occurring on PS5 when exiting the game is no longer a problem.
- The default GameCoreSaveStorageProvider was reverted back to Blobs, resolving rare save corruption issues on Xbox devices.
- A few level design tools that couldn’t be unchecked have also seen fixes applied.
- An issue causing games on PS5 to hang during startup has been addressed—no one enjoys waiting around!
- Larger combat performance improvements have been made alongside adjustments related to clearing “Grover High.”
