Without a doubt, Netflix’s The Witcher has been a huge hit ever since it came out back in last year’s December. The show is mostly based on Andrzej Sapkowszki’s novels The Witcher, but the books first got their recognition with CDPR’s The Witcher games, especially The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which has the most GOTY awards won in a single year. The game is an action-adventure single-player RPG where you play as the books’ main character, the witcher Geralt of Rivia.
After a 2nd season was confirmed to release next year, the show’s 3rd season has been leaked. The people at Redanian Intelligence have spotted a listing on the Writer’s Guild of America West website that reports a third season of the critically-acclaimed show is going ahead.
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich’s Netflix show stars Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri. The show’s storyline comprises these three characters, with each episode happening in a different timeline. We also got to see some of the Witcher’s most meaningful events like the fall of the Northern Kingdoms to Nilfgaardian rule. Foltest’s daughter was turned into a Striga (monster), Ciri’s adventure through Brokilon Forest, etc.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undoubtedly one of the best RPGs ever; it’s something that every RPG fan must’ve played at least once.
