Riot’s 2XKO patch 1.0.1.2 arrives with a handful of fixes aimed at some of the most annoying matchmaking-era bugs: champions slipping through each other, a specific Warwick escape interaction, and a few quirks in Ekko and Yasuo’s kits. The update is timed with a short maintenance window on Tuesday, October 21.
The most significant quality-of-life change is to collision. In certain cramped situations, corners, or when multiple champions were on-screen, characters could pass through each other instead of trading hits. The patch corrects that, so characters no longer become trapped when surrounded by two other champions, and push properties in corner-steal scenarios with assists have been equalized for left and right starting positions.
Warwick gets a targeted fix: the patch removes the interaction where he would “fly away” after a Handshake Tag out of Spinning Slicer in Freestyle Fuse, the most irritating escape technique players reported. The update also stops his Ankle Swipe/Primal Leap combos from dropping on Yasuo.
Ekko no longer leaves a lingering smoke effect from his ultimate, and Yasuo has a correction to Turbulent Wind so the second and third hits scale correctly. The patch also addresses crashes during champion selection and improves online match stability. Riot is adding a home-screen widget that shows the 2XKO server status and upcoming downtime.
Patch 1.0.1.2 goes live on Tuesday, October 21. Online play will be unavailable during the maintenance window from 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST until 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST. For the official, complete changelog consult Riot’s full patch notes.
