EA has launched a new event in Battlefield 2042 called Road to Battlefield 6, offering players the chance to unlock over 30 items for the upcoming Battlefield 6. This free Battle Pass event runs until October 7th, coinciding with the launch of Battlefield 6 later in the month.
Players can progress through the free Battle Pass during the event and earn more than 50 rewards themed around the Battlefield franchise’s history. In addition to these, more than 20 items will be available for use in Battlefield 6 when it releases. The rewards connected to Battlefield 6 unlock at Battle Pass tiers 8, 19, 30, 40, 49, and 60.
For those who participated in the Battlefield 6 beta, there’s a bonus: access to the LYNX Sniper Rifle in Battlefield 2042. The event also features a reimagined Iwo Jima map and the chance to unlock the KFS2000 weapon in the free Battle Pass. Fans of aerial combat can look forward to the return of the A-10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot fighter jets, both classics from the Battlefield vault.
Other rewards pay homage to earlier Battlefield titles such as Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, and Battlefield 4. This mix of content seems designed to celebrate the franchise’s legacy while building excitement for the next chapter.
Wondering if this event will pull you back into Battlefield 2042? The inclusion of classic jets and a reworked map might be just the thing to catch your interest again. And if you enjoyed the beta for Battlefield 6, unlocking exclusive items ahead of launch is a nice bonus.
