You can buy a second jump in Crimson Desert from the Spirit tree

The Double Jump is available as a one-Abyss Artifact purchase in the Spirit skill tree or unlocked automatically by observing someone else perform it.

The double jump in Crimson Desert is not hidden behind a long quest or a late-game gate. It appears as a simple skill you can either buy outright or pick up the old-fashioned way by watching someone else do it.

There are two straightforward routes to add a second mid-air leap to your kit. The fastest method is to open the Spirit skill tree and spend one Abyss Artifact to unlock the Double Jump skill. It’s tucked into Spirit, so it’s easy to miss if you aren’t scanning every node as you level up.

The alternative uses Crimson Desert’s Watch and Learn system. If you see another character perform a double jump, your character can learn it automatically. That saves the Abyss Artifact, but it can take a while before you encounter someone who uses the move in your area.

For players who want the ability immediately, buying the skill is the practical choice. For completionists or players conserving resources, Watch and Learn offers a free option that eventually grants the same move.

Is the double jump necessary?

No. The Double Jump is not required to finish the main campaign. It does change how exploration feels and makes some platforming and vertical puzzles easier. With the game’s other movement tools, like climbing and gliding, the skill is more convenience than a strict requirement. Still, once it’s unlocked, many players find themselves using it regularly while poking around the world.

If you want a closer look at how the game runs on PlayStation hardware, there’s a recent piece showing nearly 20 minutes of Crimson Desert footage captured on a stock PS5 that highlights visual and performance differences compared with high-end PCs, base PS5 gameplay.
