Yakuza: Like A Dragon is the most recent addition to SEGA’s Yakuza franchise, which got released the beginning of this year in Japan for PS4. However, the Western edition will arrive on November 10th for the PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and it’s going to feature English voiceovers and other voice actors. The PS5 version will come out a bit later, specifically March 2nd, 2021, and PS4 users who’ll already own the game will get a free upgrade. Xbox Series, X/S users will also play the game for free through Smart Delivery if they already own it on the Xbox One. Cross-save is going to be supported as well.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon is the eighth installment in the leading Yakuza franchise, and it won’t feature the memorable protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. Instead, we’ll play as Ichiban Kasuga, a lower-ranking yakuza henchman, who’s just been released from prison after 18 years, for a murder he didn’t commit. Kasuga will unravel the Tojo Clan’s situation and find out why his family betrayed him.
Unlike other Yakuza games, in Like A Dragon, the gameplay will be different, featuring turn-based RPG combat based on Kasuga’s favorite game, Dragon Quest. Yakuza: Like A Dragon is currently available to pre-order.
